God is good. All the time. We had a great message yesterday at Church about the importance of prayer in the church. We went through multiple sections of scripture showing different ways that prayer was important and the different aspects of prayer by members of the church.
But one section of the scripture that we looked at yesterday really stuck out in my mind and I felt the Holy Spirit really speak to me when I read it. It wasn’t even the main point of the sermon but as we read through it I knew it was God’s message to me for today.
Each time we sit in church or in a Sunday school class, God has a different message for each person that is present. He speaks to us through His Word to meet our needs for the things that we are going through in our lives. We never know what we may be teaching or what we may even be preaching that is going to meet someone right where they are.
Our job is to go into God’s house ready to hear from Him each time we are there. It may be from a teacher, it may be from the preacher, or it just may be through a simple conversation with someone else between services. Whatever the situation, or the messenger, God is good all the time and He is always ready to meet our needs in His time.
So, what was the scripture that hit me today? A simple message of the Gospel found in just a few verses in 1 Timothy chapter 2: “This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.”
Have a great day and God bless.
