Encouragement

Encouragement. It’s is so easy to encourage others in their walk, whatever that walk may look like. I know there is a radio station that is promoting being an encourager for the whole month of September. They are asking Christians to try to encourage one other person each day this month. I think that is an awesome idea and shouldn’t stop when the month comes to an end. I’ve tried to increase my encouragement of others over the last few weeks because we all need encouragement along the way.

We should be encouraging other believers in their walk with Christ. We should be encouraging those small business owners who are trying so hard to get their business off the ground or to the next level. We should be encouraging those single moms and dads who are working so hard to raise their children ,all on their own, without anyone else’s help. There are so many people out there that just needs to know that someone believes in them and sees what they’re doing and is willing to offer them a positive word.

Social media has made it so much easier to tear people down and offer our opinions on how they can do something better. We never know all the facts behind someone’s struggle in life, so why do we feel our opinions are worth anything to them when they don’t ask us for them. What people need is someone to just say, “nice job, I like what you’re doing!”  It’s that simple and it goes a long way.

“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:11.

“That we may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith, both yours and mine.” - Romans 1:12
