Chaos

Chaos. When everything in our lives seems to be out of our control, we feel like chaos has taken over. Most of us, by nature, like things to be within our control. We like to have a daily routine, we like to be the one’s who are in control of decisions that affect our day or our lives. When we lose that control and daily routine, we feel like our lives have been turned inside out. We tend to over exaggerated and say that our lives are in total and complete chaos. My wife and I have felt that way the last week or so as we are dealing with housing decisions.

However, when you really take a step back from all of the events that we feel are causing chaos in our lives, it’s never usually as bad as it may seem. What happens is that we usually want to play God ourselves and have complete control over all things, but in reality, we are never truly in control of most of the things in our lives. We decided to end the chaos by turning all of it over to God and allowing Him to see it through. It was like a thousand pound weight was lifted from the situation.

When we turn our chaos over to God who already knows the outcome, we leave it in the most capable hands possible. He takes our chaos and gives us His peace. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” - John 14:27. The devil wants us to live in constant chaos and to take our eyes off of Jesus and sometimes we all fall for that lie. But the Word says that we should not let our hearts be troubled.

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." - John 16:33. We will face chaos in this world and in our lives, but Christ has overcome this world so that we can have peace in Him. Have you gone to Him for peace?

Have a great day and God bless.
