Not Done With You Yet

Not done with you yet. Have you ever felt like your past has disqualified you from doing work for God?  I have, and it’s a total lie from the devil. If you are still alive, God has work yet for you to do for His Kingdom. It took a while for me to understand that, but now that I have, I no longer believe the lie that my past holds me back from my present and my future.

There are so many Biblical examples of people that had made mistakes at some point in their lives and God still used them for mighty things to His glory. Abraham was an idol worshiper. Moses was a murderer. Rahab was a prostitute. And I can go on and on all the way through the Bible. The point is that even though we all have a past, some worse than others, God’s not done with you yet if you woke up this morning.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” - Jeremiah 29:11. God loves us even though we have a past. He has plans for us. Plans to give us a future and a hope that can only be found in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. If you feel like you’re insignificant, don’t believe it. Each one of us has been given a gift from God to use to glorify His name.

“And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience-among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ-by grace you have been saved- and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” - Ephesians 2:1-10.

Have a great day and God bless.
